⚠️

A new scam email is circulating, claiming to be from gov.uk about the Energy Bill Support Scheme. The email asks for your full name, phone number, address, date of birth, and credit/debit card details to claim a £400 discount.

‼️ Important: The government will NEVER ask for your bank or card details, or any personal information by email to provide rebates under the Energy Bill Support Scheme. These rebates are applied automatically to your energy bill – no application or sensitive personal information is required.

If you receive this email:

  1. Do not click on any links or provide any personal information.
  2. Forward the email to [email protected]. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) will investigate it.
