From 1st July 2026, we're introducing a number of updates to our Terms of Service alongside our planned pricing changes for the new year. We always want to be upfront with our customers about what's changing and why, so here's a plain-English summary. The full legal wording is available any time at eb-it.uk/terms.
Business IT Support Pricing (Effective 1st July 2026)
Our Managed IT support pricing is being restructured from 1st July 2026:
- Retainer plans — from £295, £595, or £1,195 per month, depending on the level of support your business needs
- Per Device cover — £65 per device, per month
- Per User cover — £75 per employee, per month (follows that person across any device they use, including their own personal devices)
- VoIP extension add-on — £8 per user, per month (Per User plans only)
- Home worker support — a flat £35 per device per month, or a pay-as-you-go £45 per hour, billed through your existing contract
To keep this fair, any new or renewed Managed IT contract has its pricing fixed for the first 12 months. After that, we can only increase your price with at least 30 days' written notice, so you'll never be hit with a surprise increase. As a thank you for being on a contract, our emergency call-out rate for Managed IT customers is also dropping to £100, compared with £300 for ad-hoc customers.
Accidental Damage & Liability While You're Under Contract
We've also clarified what happens if our engineers ever accidentally damage your equipment while carrying out contracted work, such as on a server or piece of network hardware. In that situation, we'll cover the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing that specific item.
For Managed IT contracts overall, our total liability is capped at the value of fees you've paid us in the previous 12 months, which is standard practice across the IT support industry. This does not affect your right to claim for direct accidental damage, and it never limits liability for personal injury or anything UK law doesn't allow us to limit.
Web Design Projects
We've written our web design pricing and ownership terms into the Terms of Service for the first time, so there's no ambiguity:
- Priced per page and per database, plus any add-on features you choose
- Full ownership transfers to you once the project is paid for in full
Uncollected Devices
We've clarified our policy on devices left with us for repair. If a device hasn't been collected more than 30 days after we've told you it's ready, we'll always send written notice giving you a fair chance to collect it before anything happens.
Only after that notice period passes do we have the legal right, under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977, to recycle or dispose of the device and recover any storage costs owed to us. If a disposal has already been booked with our recycling partner and you want to retrieve the device at the last minute, a £100 plus VAT fee applies to cover halting that process — this reflects a real cost to us, not a penalty for the sake of it.
Data Recovery
Data recovery is now handled by a specialist partner, East Anglia Data Recovery (EADR), rather than in-house. This gives you access to dedicated recovery expertise for failed or damaged drives, while we remain your main point of contact throughout.
If you have any questions about how these changes affect you, please get in touch on 01205 627240 or [email protected]. We're always happy to talk through anything before it takes effect.
