EB IT Support is proud to announce a brand new community initiative launching in September 2026 — a free drop-in IT clinic for senior citizens, bringing friendly, jargon-free technology help directly into care homes and sheltered housing schemes across Boston and the wider Lincolnshire area.
From September, our team will be visiting communal areas in local care homes on a rolling schedule, giving residents, family members and staff the chance to drop in with any phone, tablet, laptop or other device that's causing trouble. There's no need to book an appointment — residents can simply come along during the published visit times.
The first look at every device is completely free. That covers friendly advice, help connecting to WiFi, setting up video calls with family, spotting scam calls or emails, and quick software or settings fixes. If a job needs a replacement part or takes longer than 30 minutes, we'll always explain the cost clearly before doing any chargeable work — nothing is ever charged as a surprise.
This sits alongside two services we already offer. We now run a drop-in clinic every single day at our permanent office at Boston Enterprise Centre, Venture Way, so anyone who can get to us doesn't need to wait for a community visit. We also continue to offer home callouts and remote support for anyone who'd prefer one-to-one help at their own front door or over the phone.
Care home managers and sheltered housing scheme coordinators who'd like to arrange a visit for their residents are encouraged to get in touch with our team directly — visits are arranged venue by venue, so reaching out is the first step to getting a date on the calendar.
