Merry Christmas from all of us at EB IT Support. This is our Christmas message for the year, and it covers a few things we’d like you to know.

First, we’re not going anywhere. You’ll still find the same team, the same friendly service and the same phone number. We’re reshaping the business to make better use of the skills we’ve built over the years, particularly in business IT support. And if you rely on us for home computer support, computer repair, broadband or phone services, those continue just as before.

Here’s a round-up of what’s new, what’s staying the same and when you can reach us over Christmas and New Year.

Big news: EB IT Radio is live

We’re delighted to share that EB IT Support now runs EB IT Radio, a community online radio station broadcasting from Boston. You can tune in for live shows, local news and great music.

EB IT Radio is not-for-profit. Every penny it earns goes back into running the station and supporting local community events. It’s one more way for us to be part of the community we’re proud to serve.

Visit ebitradio.co.uk to listen. You can also find Eddie’s Tech Tips on Sundays from 3pm to 5pm, with friendly advice in plain English.

And there’s more: EB IT Radio is now available on Amazon Alexa. Just say, “Alexa, play EB IT Radio”, or find the station on Amazon.

Saturday remote IT support, by pre-booking

Does a computer problem keep getting pushed aside because weekdays are busy? We now offer pre-booked Saturday remote support slots from 10am to 1pm. One of our friendly team will call you and help remotely, wherever you are in the UK.

To book, call 01205 627240 or email [email protected]. We’ll arrange your slot as a support ticket, so you know what to expect. These appointments must be booked in advance; they aren’t walk-in slots. The office is closed on the last Saturday of every month.

Our office phone line is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. Saturday availability is subject to the monthly closure above. You can also find out more about our remote support.

Keep in touch with the EB IT app

The EB IT app brings several useful things together in one place. You can catch up on our latest news, find tickets for our events and listen to EB IT Radio live.

You can also use the app to keep up with your support requests. Sign in to see your tickets, appointments and invoices. If you don’t have an account, you can use the six-digit ticket PIN in your email to open your request, check for updates, reply, approve quotes or pay an invoice.

Free local business networking: Business & Bytes

If you run a business in the area, you’re welcome at Business & Bytes, our free networking morning. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from 10am to 12pm.

It’s a relaxed get-together for local business owners: no pressure and no jargon, just good conversation, useful connections and a cup of tea. It’s completely free to attend. Find upcoming events and book your place on Eventbrite.

We’ve reshaped our business, here’s what’s happening

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been making better use of skills we’ve built over the years but haven’t fully utilised. In particular, we’re growing the support we offer to businesses with their systems, not just fixing computers.

For businesses, we now offer complete business systems support. We can help you identify where technology is holding you back, then build, maintain and support a solution, with training included. It’s about helping your business work smoothly, with one friendly team to talk to.

At the same time, our home services continue as before. If you need help with computer repair, broadband, phone services or everyday technology, we’re still here for you. You can explore our managed IT support and other services on our website.

We’ve also widened our service areas. We now cover Wisbech, Kirton, Long Sutton, Sutton Bridge and more surrounding towns, alongside our existing areas. Wherever you are, get in touch and we’ll be happy to talk through what you need.

Christmas and New Year opening hours

Here are our festive hours, so you can plan ahead:

• Friday 18 December to Wednesday 23 December: reduced service, emergencies only
• Thursday 24 December to Sunday 27 December: fully closed
• Monday 28 December: re-open
• Thursday 31 December: closing at 12pm
• Saturday 2 January 2027, from 10am: Saturday opening resumes and we’re back to normal
